not going to be easy

so it's only been a week and a half since I decided to take a 6 week break to try and rest and heal my right knee, I suspect it is "Patella Femoral Syndrome also known as Runners Knee"  all the symptoms point to it.  All the more important for Athletes to keep their legs strong especially if you add tumbling skills to your arsenal of movement.  in any case I am definitely feeling a little ego busted because i have a hard time resting but I know it's neccessary it will be done.  I guess I am going to get jacked in the upper body even more now.  Just got an Ipod Touch Refurbished and that is good because I am going to be doing a lot more dancing to keep me busy.   Injuries Suck but they teach you so much about yourself.

After Training

Been revisiting my power moves and break dance movement arsenal.  My main goal is to find the weaknesses in my style and to evolve past my tendencies toward specific movements so I can open up more opportunities to develop.  I have often found when I go into breaking routines I tend to tighten up and have an annoying pattern of moves I do.  I am breaking that habbit with this training.

Today.

Warm Up

I started out with my normal dynamic stretches but as I was sore I had to do a little relaxed stretching to make myself feel relaxed. I then went into  Macaco Drills to get my shoulders and back warmed up, follow that up with some Head Swipe transitions to get my neck warm and a few handstands.

I started my main workout with some helecopters and windmills focusing on my the heel drive and waiting out the move so I don't twist to early.

Secondly I started working on Flairs... Now let me tell you something about flairs, for me, okay for me, they are a biomechanical technical nightmate,  I have break throughs with them and then I lose them and so on and so forth, my main weakness with them is forgeting to kick high enough with my first leg and I rush the circle.  Today I had afew times where they felt absolutely awesome but as usual I get frustrated and angry with myself and I lose my focus.  But in any case they are way better then what they were before, I will celebrate when I can do a solid three.

Third I worked on Fore Arm Air flairs which in my openion are almost to the point where I can do two in a row with straight legs and good form.  I feel like air flaires are way easier then normal flairs but I have a better understanding of them so that would make sense.

Finally I worked on a combo I want to put in my show reel for this year.  It's coming along nice but as with all moves the trick is to not rush it and to really see every move to the farthest point you can.

Finshed up with some light conditioning and Stretching.

Highlights of the night:  Air Flaire and Raize Hops.

I know it is difficult to understand what I am talking about so I will do what I can to upload video from my training as well.
