Training Vlog December 28th

It had been a while since I had gone out and done some fun training with my friends.  Considering most of training prior was mainly for the shows I can finally do something a little more chaotic.

We did so much more this day but both my cameras ran out of space so we only got this short clip of us messing around on a wedge ramp at Hudson Park.

Also in case you haven't seen it yet here is a short video I made with the help of my friends.  I was going for a very chaotic look with this one.

Training Vlog December 17th

Finally I got a chance to work on something a little more crazy.  I really haven't worked my scoot to Cork for a while so I felt it was a bit rusty and I would pull the twist to early.  Due to the lack of space at the End of Days I won't have the room to do some of my major tumbling, but I am also doing a some work in the chains so I will alternate between tumbling and the chains for my four minute solo.  Later that same day I had time to work some much needed conditioning.

Lesson Learned:

In performance training if you're having a hard time with a set you have done in the past it is probably better to just abandon the set until you have a longer time to work on it.  Forcing  a set just because you want to put it in a show only gets you sore and frustrated. Who is guilty of that. This guy right here.  Sore as F%*&*

Week of December 14th

So like I said it's been a little hectic down here with rehearsals and getting sick and odd sleeping schedules.  The good thing is that it has given my body a bit of rest to recover from my normal regime.  Here's a little something to hold you over until I get back on track.

Going pretty hard into Aerial, Ring, L'art Du Deplacement, Balance, Lifting and Tricking after the 21st show.  Oh and back to a solid diet.

Training Vlog December 6,7,8th

So I have had a hell of a couple of days.

I didn't want to do anything between the 6th and 7th I just felt pretty crappy so the video will give you a basic idea of what I was going through. Definitely was low on energy.

Lesson Learned:

Dancing is Fun.

December 8th

I wanted to get out and the day was nice.  After watching some Crazy Russian stuff I was like I know a place like that and I went on my journey...or as Andrew calls it my adventure.  I will definitely be returning to this place more often as there are some beast moves I want to accomplish here.

Lesson Learned:

Stop thinking and just jump big.

Got food poisoning after that night and was pretty crappy for all of Sunday.  Luckily I had my Girl to take care of me.  Thanks Kristen.

Trainig Vlog December 4th and 5th

This Vlog will have two different days in it. The approach is the same for both days because once again I am working on my sets for the upcoming show on December 14-15.

Just fine tuning everything and making sure I can do several sets in a row without failure, it does wonders for performance when you aren't stressing the harder skills, you can focus on the performance aspect more.

My weight is down t 160lbs.  This is great because I feel super jacked and light and I look back to when I was 150lbs out of high school when I was super lean.

And then I look at when I was just out of College at 182lbs of Muscle some bulk.

And now I am down to 160!  and I look more Jacked then ever.  Even more jacked then when I was 182lbs  this means my muscle is more efficient.

I have been keeping my sessions short, only about an hour and  half tops.  It helps keep me focused on what I am there to do.  If you show up to practice and your not ready to Kick Ass, turn around go back out of the room and come in and get ready to answer the question with Yes.  Are You Ready to Kick Ass Today?

December 4th

December 5th

Lesson Learned:

I did better Butter Twists from a standing position then I did from my wind up position. perhaps I will use that approach on my next attempt at swing throughs,  but I feel the wind up approach will come in handy when I do double twists.  Again got to make sure to squeeze those legs straight,  if you just keep thinking push and squeeze, or reach and squeeze it goes a long way.  Did some L sits, Rope Climbs and Freestanding Handstands for conditioning on the 5th.  Feeling very good and it always helps to have goals for your training session, realistic goals that don't involve to many things.

Training Vlog December 3rd

The main concern for the next few weeks is making sure my combos and moves for the show on December 14th and 15th are very clean and performable.  So my workouts will be structured toward giving me the best advantage in those areas.  So in this session I worked on my Round Off Back Hand Spring Flash Kick on the hard floor, and my Press Handstands.  This workout was cut short but I got done what I wanted.  Take a look.

Lesson Learned:

Throwing my head back a bit much in the Flash Kick, I need to wait for the peak of the jump to do that.   I was a bit stiff today because of my extar long workout on my Aerial Acrobatics Training on Sunday but I just sucked it up and got to work.  It's Go time.

Training Vlog Decemeber 1st A Great Start

Well I was supposed to go out and do some grass tricking with my friends, but I mixed up the times so I went to Desert Devils instead.  This was a day I wanted to throw some harder moves and transitions since I have been reviewing my basic skills.  Take a look at the footage and lets review.

Lesson Learned:

I feel so much better that I got to do those transitions and finally start some worthy combos. My Grandmaster swipe needs to be more sideways.  My Raiz Swing Through Flash Gainer feels great and I can't wait to add on to it.  My Aerial to Flash Kick feels okay.  Perhaps a bit more squeezing of the leg straight will help a lot, so that will be my next big correction.  Really happy with today.  The only other thing I can think about is in my Flash Kick out of my Round Off Back Hand Spring.  It appears and feels like I have been throwing my head back early, I need to ride out the flip more before arching into it.
